COMMUNITY IMPACT

 

Investing $80,000 in Our Local Communities

At Peoples Bank, supporting our communities means investing in the people and organizations working to make them stronger. Through our partnership with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines and its Member Impact Fund, $80,000 in grant funding was awarded to three local nonprofits making a meaningful difference across our region.

The Member Impact Fund matches contributions from participating member institutions at a three-to-one ratio, helping Peoples Bank multiply its local investment and provide even greater support to organizations serving our neighbors.

 

Power of Hope Equestrian Center

$40,000 Grant

Power of Hope Equestrian Center in Steelville provides therapeutic equine-assisted services for children and adults with physical, cognitive, emotional and behavioral challenges. This $40,000 grant will help expand its services and continue creating opportunities for participants to build confidence, independence and hope through the healing connection between horses and people.

The Freedom 13

$20,000 Grant

The Freedom 13 honors the 13 American service members lost during the evacuation of Kabul while supporting veterans, law enforcement officers and Gold Star families. This $20,000 grant will help support recreational healing retreats, wellness resources and long-term assistance for those the organization serves.

Life House Youth Center

$20,000 Grant

Life House Youth Center provides young people with a safe and welcoming place to build positive relationships, receive academic support and participate in enriching activities. This $20,000 grant will help the organization continue giving local youth the support and skills they need to build successful futures.
